The Pluma Hidalgo region in the State of Oaxaca in southern Mexico is less than an hour’s drive up the mountains from the beautiful shores of Huatulco on the Pacific Ocean. The altitude and micro-climate of the region contribute to make these coffees a prized export of Oaxaca. 

Pluma Hidalgo is a very small village surrounded by coffee farms and is the capital of coffee country in southern Mexico. This coffee gets its name both from the town, and the featherlike clouds that float amidst the mountains.
