Our Mission
Our mission is to bring you premium and freshly roasted coffee from different Mexican regions. We want to promote the delicious coffee that is harvested in México. Typically, when you go to the store you will see coffee from other Latin American countries, but not from México. Café Aroma de México is here to change that!
We are advocating for Mexican coffee farmers and expanding the knowledge of the delicious coffee from Mexico. Our goal is to work directly with coffee farmers and this past summer we visited two different farms in Hidalgo and Oaxaca, to establish personal connections with them. During my visit, I saw first hand the dedication, passion, and hard work that goes into harvesting coffee. I want farmers to benefit from their hard work by paying them a fair price. They should be able to make a good and decent living.
Our coffee is sustainably and freshly roasted in small batches on a zero-emissions roaster locally in Chicago. We want you to start your day with a fresh cup of coffee that brings México's Aroma to your home.
Growing Coffee in Mexico
Mexican coffee grows in 15 states throughout the southern half of the country but over 90% comes from four states: Veracruz, Oaxaca, Chiapas, and Puebla. Coffee is grown by more than half a million farmers, 85% of Mexico’s coffee farmers are indigenous Mexicans. Most Mexican coffee is grown under shade and Mexico is one of the world’s largest producers of certified organic coffee and Fair Trade coffee. Most Mexican coffee is Bourbon, Catura, Maragogype, or Mundo Novo, though other varieties can be found
